When I went to turn it on again it started smoking. So I cut it off and waited ten minutes to try again. Once again it smoked. So I primed it. That didn't work. And it has gas in it. But I have no idea on how to check the oil whether or not it needs to be changed or anything. Help please!! And it's a manual lawnmower Once again im a girl, so I have no idea what the spark plug is, where it is, or how to get it off. Open Question: what do i need to do to fix my lawn mower by myself? A few weeks ago i hit a stump in my back yard, the lawn mower cut off immediately,now it is really hard to start it. When it runs it is really weak,when i go through thicker grass it starts to rattle and slow down and sometimes cuts off. If it cuts off from the thick grass the lawn mower locks up so i can't start it. The pull string won't move. Im not gonna explain the story of how its too long lol.... but today i got my finger caught in the blade of a lawn mower... it was probably one of the most painful things i have ever felt in my life..; the mower was on obviously but my finger did not cut??? its really strange... its hugely/grossly swollen lol and its bluish purple and kind of cold... its on the side of the finger without the nail... its puffed up swollen its a funny color, it really hurts but it didnt cut.. i dont get it, like a sharp blade moving at however fast they go and it didnt cut it?? why? through the swelling and bluish purple you can kind of see a mark that goes down the whole swelling, and its red/black, it kind of looks like i got cut... but under the skin lol, it looks like a cut mark but its not on the outside and i dont really understand.. i did not go see a doctor Resolved Question: Why didnt my finger cut, or bleed???? As you know riding lawn mowers have different level as to how high you want to cut your grass, normally I would cut my grass at level 2, but now level 2 is destroying the lawn. I've found several on Kijiji but like my current push lawnmower I do not want to have to bag a thing. Are ALL riding lawnmowers capable being used as a mulcher? That's is, is all it takes to convert a standard riding lawnmower into a mulcher is to switch out its blades for a couple mulch blades (the very same i use on my existing push lawnmower) and cover up the side opening shoot area?
